Professional Dry Cleaning
Appearance has more emphasis on today's society than ever before. Whether you are at work, enjoying a social event, or running errands on the weekend, Starcrest helps you look your best.
To accommodate your busy lifestyle, Starcrest has gone above and beyond to make its services as convenient as possible. Starcrest is one of the few cleaners to have extended hours and to be open on Sundays. Almost all of our stores have same-day service for regular dry cleaning items brought in before 9:00 a.m. (Monday - Saturday)
Our experienced staff is knowledgeable in the vast array of fabrics and weaves available in retail today. In addition to knowing today's retail fabrics and weaves, staff at each facility are competent in the cleaning procedures required for each of them. Many items require special attention and several cleaning techniques before the garment is actually clean. We make sure that these procedures are completed before sending an item out. Starcrest stands behind its service and strives for customer satisfaction!
Traditional Shirt Laundry
A clean, well-pressed shirt is often hard to come by in the cleaning business. Starcrest takes pride in the quality and attention to detail in its shirt service.
- Shirts are individually inspected for spots, stains, or missing buttons.
- Shirts are separated by color and starch preference.
- Every shirt's collar and cuffs are pre-treated with a special solution and scrubbed before cleaning.
- Once spotted, shirts are washed in a frontload washer with commercial soaps, brighteners, and starch (if requested).
- Shirts are pressed by high-tech automated equipment and then touched up by hand.
- Missing or broken buttons are replaced absolutely FREE.
- Shirts are packaged on hangers or boxed for storage convenience
You can be sure that when you drop your shirts off at one of the Starcrest Cleaners locations, it will be attentively cared for and returned to you well-pressed and ready to wear.
Household Service
At Starcrest Cleaners, we recognize that many household items require additional care and attention. Starcrest's household service includes coats, comforters, sheets, drapes, tablecloths, and other similar items found within the household. Because household items are individually inspected and cleaned separately, these items usually take three days to clean. Please notify the sales associate of any known stain on a household item when you drop it off. This will help us treat your household item with better more accurate care and also make the sales associate aware of any potential problemS when handling your item.
Wedding Gown Cleaning & Preservation
Your beautiful gown is the ultimate keepsake from that perfect day. It will bring back wonderful memories of your wedding day, and could possibly be the perfect gift for future generations. Starcrest takes pleasure in carefully treating, cleaning and preserving your precious dress. Most wedding gowns take a lot of abuse at the reception. All hems and visible stains are hand treated, and then the dress is carefully cleaned. After the cleaning process is finished, the dress is hand-pressed and delicately wrapped in acid-free tissue paper to help maintain the dress's shape and color. You may arrange to view your wedding gown before preservation. The gown is then placed delicately and tastefully into your Bridal Preservation Box with more acid-free tissue layered between the folds of your dress. The box is then closed and placed in a packaging box for storage purposes. Your Bridal Preservation Box is designed so that you can actually view your dress without opening the entire box. Starcrest advises brides to store their dress in a dry area with minimal light exposure.
Preservation can be done for any cherished garment. Often baptismal gowns, first communion dresses, and pageant gowns come to our stores for preservation.
Leathers and Alterations
Starcrest does offer leather cleaning to customers, but does have this service outsourced to a professional leather cleaner in that store's area. Leather cleaning requires different cleaning methods and equipment than normal dry cleaning and professional shirt laundry service. Because these items are outsourced, leather items typically have a 2 week turnaround time.
Simple alterations like hems and zippers are another service that Starcrest Cleaners offers customers as an extra convenience. We advise customers with any complex alteration requests to take their items to an Alterations Shop for a "one-on-one" consultation.
Fire Restoration and Water Repellant
Fire smoke can cause permanent damage to clothes. However, many Starcrest locations offer a cleaning service called "ozoning" that can pull most, sometimes all, of the black soot and foul odors out of items caught in smoke fumes. Please call your local Starcrest location to check on whether that location is equipped to handle fire items before bringing the items in for treatment.
Water repellant application is also available among Starcrest's services.
House Accounts
Starcrest customers can set up a personal 'House Account' at any of our stores. House Accounts allow you to drop-off and pick-up without waiting for a money transaction. All orders picked-up will get billed to your House Account. At the end of the month, the General Manager of the location you are using will bill your preferred Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card for all the invoices that you have picked-up during that month. An itemized invoice with your credit card receipt stapled to the top will be mailed to your home for your own records.
